At our inception, we built this collective out of curiosity for creativity, cultivation of culture, empathy towards humanity, and love of the people.

CO-FOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL
PROJECTS
Henry is a NY state licensed social worker and a visual storyteller committed to using his camera as a tool to influence change. Henry uses the photography subgenres of photojournalism, documentary photography and street photography to highlight the poetic nature of everyday life, emphasize the strengths of communities and share stories that heal. His work focuses on the intersectionality of Black identity and themes of social justice, race, criminal justice, youth, education and community-driven solutions to social issues.
As Director of Special Projects, Henry leads the Souls team on taking projects from the ideas to reality, overseeing each crucial step to ensure that Souls in Focus’ mission is represented in each project created.
CO-FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Based in NYC but traveling worldwide, Sade is a Nigerian-American photographer, licensed social worker and educator. Sade works within different genres of photography including portraiture, documentary and film.
As the Managing Director, Sade leads the operational functions of the collective, including strategic planning for efficient workflows and communications with partners and vendors.
CO-FOUNDER & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Tiah is a New York based photographer, conceptual storyteller, and marketer. She helps people and brands tell stories through meaningful visual art and purpose-driven marketing strategies built off of human connection. Tiah has led brand marketing efforts for independent creative houses, advertising agencies, tech start-ups and global media and entertainment companies.
As Marketing Director, Tiah leads the ideation, strategy, and execution of marketing initiatives and partnerships for Souls in Focus.
GENERAL MANAGER
Naeem Douglas is an Emmy-nominated reporter turned photographer, videographer, and writer. He continues to be a storyteller. It's his passion and has never been more accessible than it is today. Naeem has helped clients find their authentic voices and craft their stories through his unique eye behind the camera.
As General Manager, Naeem leads Souls In Focus' programming around photowalks. He also maintains, produces and catalogs Souls in Focus multimedia footprint including it's YouTube channel.
EDUCATION & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DIRECTOR
Lauren is a portrait and documentary photographer based in Harlem whose work delves into both intimate and public spaces through the exploration of human connection. With a passion for learning and information sharing, Lauren loves to create educational opportunities and connect others to the bountiful resources in New York City.
As Education and Community Engagement Director, Lauren aims to provide the Souls in Focus community with opportunities to grow in their practice, as well as partnerships with local New York City organizations to provide photography instruction and mentorship to youth.
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Kedrick is a photographer and multimedia designer based in Brooklyn.
Over the past 10 years, he has been fascinated and informed by the intersection of design, photography, technology, and culture. Through intentional design and storytelling, Kedrick aims to broaden conversations around the experiences of Black/LGBTQIA+ communities.
As Communications Director, Kedrick aims to provide and present a strong narrative of the mission of Souls in Focus for the community while developing communication and marketing collateral inline with the Souls in Focus brand.
